Australian Open Champion Novak Djokovic is set to break the record for the most weeks in total as world number 1, equalling Steffi Graff on top of the leader board this week.
This week will mark the 377th time that Djokovic has sat atop of the Men’s ATP Rankings. He has enough points in the bank from his Australian Open title to guarantee his spot as the world number 1 next week for the 378th time which will break the record.
In the coming weeks however, he will suffer some stiff competition, with the 19-year-old Spanish phenom Carlos Alcaraz looking to reclaim the world number 1 title after missing the Australian Open due to injury.
Like Graff, Djokovic has also won 22 Grand Slam titles and doesn’t look like stopping any time soon, after his dominating Australian Open campaign this year, where he only dropped one set in his 7 matches.
