Flemington – Brody’s Selections
R2: After a significant spell, What You Need returns to the races here at Flemington. He’s only raced once and that was a dominant 4 length win in Geelong. The gelding Fasuto has a good record when first up and should be within the placings here. Kaygeebee also resumes and is unbeaten in both his races to date. Late money has come for him, keep an eye out Saturday morning.

R4: Plenty of chances here. Veight looks like a top quality horse, dominated in his only start, winning by 6L at Pakenham, big step up here though. Ganbare finished well in last race and the 1400m will suit him more. Freakofnature will be more than a chance at odds winning his only ever start at Sandown.

R5: Barb Raider has been heavily backed so far and should be fitter second-up with Craig Williams on board for the ride. Excelida finished off extremely well in her last race and should be storming home late here. So You See is another chance in the race. Her last race was a win at this track over the same distance.

R6: Maher and Eustace have Right You Are absolutely flying now, winning his last 4 races and Zahra onboard for the ride only helps claims. Should be hard to beat. Emissary will only be better and fitter from its last start and Blake Shinn onboard only helps claims. Huetor has the potential to surprise here, drops down significantly and loves the dry ground. 2019 Melbourne cup winner, Vow and Declare will also be better after returning against Right You Are in previous race.

R7: In Secret is yet to miss a place in all 8 of her starts. The Coolmore winner looks in good order, third-up here. Golden Eagle winner I Wish I Win was narrowly beaten in the Lightning and looks to be fitter, yet to win at Group 1 level though. Top weight Private Eye has been dominant at Flemington when fresh previously and should run well here. Buenos Noches had a solid return in the lightning and is a chance at odds here.
